Electric Aggregation Notice

The current contract for electric aggregation is expiring. However, we have entered into an agreement with Volunteer Energy to provide electric at the rate of $0.0498 per kWh from March 1, 2019 to Nov. 30, 2021. Initially, we were going to renew with our current contract holder, at the same rate we’ve been at, but this option, with Volunteer, presented itself. As such, there will be a two month stage where the customers are in an open period, supplied by the utility, until March 1st. If you are in a Co-op, you are not eligible for participation in the program (much of the Beechwood Trails area). Further, as with the previous contract, customers are always permitted to opt out from the township aggregation program, at any time, without paying a fee. Finally, all customers should be receiving notices in the mail from Trebel LLC and Volunteer Energy shortly, as we just signed the contract late last week. Should you have any questions, please reach out to one of the trustees, or Volunteer Energy at 800-977-VESI.

AND NOTICES

Public Notice
Harrison Township Residents

At the July 2, 2018 meeting, the Harrison Township Trustees opened bids for our township-wide trash hauler contract. Our board received multiple bids from four interested contractors. After careful consideration, the board moved to award the bid to Waste Management for another five-year term. As with so many products and services, the fees will have a slight increase over the current contract. However, we believe that the positive attributes, and cost savings to the residents, are beneficial and significant. Please see the accompanying rate sheet for the new contract rates. Finally, these rates are subject to a fuel surcharge, in the event you see some fluctuation in your bills.

If there are any questions regarding this contract, or concerns with the service, please reach out to the trustees, or Waste Management directly at (866) 797-9018.
Thank you,
