Electric and Natural Gas Aggregation Programs
The Harrison Township Trustees have agreed to a two year fixed price contract with Capital Energy Ohio, for electric aggregation. Additionally, the trustees have agreed to a two year contract with Volunteer Energy Services Inc., for natural gas aggregation. We believe that these programs will be in effect by January 2017. Notices, and opt out information (if so inclined), will be sent to those customers affected by these changes.

The Harrison Township Zoning Commission has voted to reduce the number of monthly meetings to one. The board will meet on the first Tuesday of the month. If additional meetings are needed they will be held on the third Tuesday of the month.

2017 Meeting Schedule

The Harrison Township Board of Trustees will hold regular meetings for the fiscal year 2017 at the Harrison Township Hall located at 6750 Outville Road, Pataskala, Ohio.   Monthly meetings starting at 6:00 p.m. will be held on Jan. 3, Feb.  6, March 6, April 3, May 1, June 5, July 10, Aug. 7, Sept. 5, Oct. 2, Nov. 6 and Dec. 4.  A second monthly meeting starting at 9:00 a.m. will be held on May 16, June 20 and Dec. 28.  All meeting details and any changes will be posted at the Township Hall and on the website at www.harrisontownship.net.  All meetings are open to the public.

Public Notice​
The Harrison Township Board of Zoning Appeals will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday June 27, 2017 at the Township Complex, 6750 Outville Rd. Pataskala, OH 43062.
The purpose of this meeting is to consider a Variance Application submitted by Attorney Connie J. Klema on behalf of Front Porch Investments, LLC. The applicant is requesting to divide a property located at 5535 York Rd. Pataskala, OH 43062 into five residential lots.
A copy of the application with all pertinent information will be posted at the Township Complex and the Pataskala Public Library. All public hearings are open to the public. A working session will follow the public hearing.

            RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE INTENT OF THE TOWNSHIP
                TO SELL PROPERTY BY INTERNET AUCTION 505.10(D)

 
    WHEREAS, the Board of Township Trustees of Harrison Township has property including motor vehicles, road machinery, equipment, and tools that it finds is not needed for public use, is obsolete, or is unfit for the use for which it was acquired; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Township Trustees of Harrison Township intends to sell said property by Internet auction in accordance with Ohio Revised Code Section 505.10 (D).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Township will sell property not needed for public use, is obsolete, or is unfit for the use for which it was acquired by Internet auction.  
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Internet auctions will be conducted as follows:
1.    All items available at auction will be posted on the GovDeals website at www.GovDeals.com.
2.     All items available at auction posted on the website will include a written description with a minimum bid for each item. 
3.    Products may be available for public inspection if practical.  If an item is available for inspection, details will be published in the notice of auction.
4.    Bids will be accepted through GovDeals.
5.    The number of days that bidding will be accepted on the property will be fourteen (14)  days but not less than ten (10) days which includes Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays.
6.    GovDeals will contact successful bidders and make arrangements for payment.
7.    Each successful bidder will submit the amount of the bid to GovDeals at their set terms.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Township will be using GovDeals, and the general terms and conditions of sale on GovDeals will be followed.
